iMANO: IPLOOK's Self-developed MANO

iMANO

MANO

MANO (NFV management and orchestration) is a framework that enables the management and orchestration of virtualized network functions (VNFs) in a cloud environment. Its goal is to provide an efficient and automated way to manage and deploy network functions, which can help telecom operators reduce costs, increase agility, and provide new services more quickly.

The main components of MANO include the NFV Orchestrator (NFVO), which coordinates the deployment and management of VNFs across multiple physical resources; the VNF Manager (VNFM), which manages the life cycle of individual VNFs; and the VIM (Virtual Infrastructure Manager), which manages the underlying virtualization infrastructure.

MANO can interact with VNF, NFVI, VIM, and other NFV components such as SDN to enable unified management of the entire network functions virtualization infrastructure. With MANO, network operators can more easily deploy and manage new services, improve network resource utilization, and reduce operational costs.

iMANO, IPLOOK's Self-developed Management Platform

iMANO system, self-developed by IPLOOK, supports OpenStack and Kubernetes, which correspond to Virtualization Infrastructure Management System (VIM) and Container Virtualization Infrastructure Management System (CIM) respectively.

iMANO Advantages

· NFV Management and Orchestration: iMANO focuses on automating, monitoring, scaling, and optimizing virtual network services in a cloud environment.
· Deep Integration with CN: iMANO combines IPLOOK's core network to understand and manage various NE characteristics and requirements. The integration offers operators flexible network solutions.
· Cross-Cloud Management: iMANO supports simultaneous integration with Kubernetes and OpenStack, enabling centralized resource management across multiple cloud environments.
· Standard Compliance: iMANO adheres to ETSI and mainstream operator NFV standards, ensuring compatibility with other compliant NFV components.
· Scalability: iMANO employs a microservices architecture, allowing independent component operation, hot swapping, scaling, and redundant deployments.

iMANO enables MNOs to easily deploy and manage new services, optimize resource utilization, and reduce costs.
