August 30, 2022 - The GSA 4G/5G Fixed Wireless Access Forum ran its monthly Online conference, bringing together all forum members around the world to discuss the deployments of FWA, identify use cases and encourage global adoption.
During the event, leading chipset, module, and terminal vendors, telecom regulators and operators active in the market shared the FWA survey report and discuss FWA Forum’s ongoing activities and plans.
IPLOOK, as a member of GSA, attended the online meeting to know about significant advances in FWA and issues such as sustainability, innovation and research, foreseeable activities, and marketing plans.
Shipments of FWA CPE are expected to grow 33% in 2022 to 22 million units, reaching higher volumes than in 2020. Connecting the unconnected is seen to be the most important market trend for 2022. The majority of respondents expect minor or no component shortages in 2023, but inflationary pressures to remain.
The plenary was made in the reports of the GSA 4G/5G FWA Forum status update, working group updates, global FWA market status and related topics.
As the FWA solution gathers new creators, partnership continues to accelerate. In addition, the 4G/5G FWA Forum uptakes FWA services to help to drive change and business. The meeting ended with the announcement of the next forum meeting, which is on 27th September 2022.
