Dell' Oro Report: The Development of the Global Private Wireless Network Market in 2021 is not as Expected
According to the latest report released by Dell'Oro group, a market research company, the global private wireless network RAN market revenue in 2021 is slightly lower than the initial expectation.
Stefan pongratz, vice president of Dell'Oro group, said: "the weaker revenue mainly due to the challenges of transforming these initial trials into commercial deployments rather than signs of declining demand. In fact, a series of indicators show that private wireless network activity is increasing not only in China, but also in other regions."
Other highlights of the report include: · Considering the reduction of baseline in 2021, the forecast of private wireless network market has been slightly lowered;
· It is estimated that the total revenue of private wireless network RAN, including macro cell and small cell, will still account for more than double from 2021 to 2026;
· There is not much change in the technology portfolio. LTE dominated the private network market in 2021. 5G NR is still expected to surpass LTE in the later stage of the forecast period, and will occupy about 3% - 5% of the market share of private 5G network RAN + public network RAN by 2026;
· Risks are roughly balanced. On the bright side, the problems of 5G enterprises has still not been solved. Suppliers with strong marketing channels have successfully launched private 5G network services, which may accelerate the development of 5G private network market at a faster speed than expected. On the down side, it will take some time for enterprises to fully understand the value of LTE / private 5G network, although the awareness of 5G is improving.
